Vietnam is the world’s biggest producer of Canephora coffees (Robusta). But, over the past few years there has been a steady increase in Arabica production. During the week there will be a focus on everything that is coffee in Vietnam; from cultivation to harvesting, processing, roasting and consumption.

Ermanno Perotti & Sucafina
We know the value of local knowledge, and so we have partnered up with the perfect person to guide us around Vietnam
Ermanno Perotti is an expert in Coffee Farming. a SCA AST for Sensory, Roasting and Green Coffee. Consultant and CQI instructor.
He has been based in Asia for 11 years and in Vietnam for 10 years. Nobody is more qualified to take us to the right places and help us meet the right people.
He is an expert in processing, and works with many local farmers to help increase quality. He speaks Vietnamese too which is going to be very helpful.

Whenever possible we like to give back to the local coffee community. Sometimes with trainings, seminars or events.
In Ho Chi Minh city with the support of SANREMO Vietnam we will be hosting an evening of cupping, coffee culture and latte art.
This evening is not officially part of the trip but anyone is welcome to turn up a day early and join us.

The trip officially starts on Saturday February 15th. You will want to fly in on this day., but feel free to come earlier and join the pre-event on Friday February 14th.
We will still cover your airport transfer but the extra nights accomodation and expenses are on you.

You will need to book your arrival and departure to Tan Son Nhat International Airport

Generally it is fairly easy to enter Vietnam but just check to ensure with your passport there are no restrictions. If you need help, let us know.

We will take care of all most of your expenses, but you may want a little spending money for souvenirs, drinks or small extras.
It will be easy enough to change money once you get there or you can always use the ATM and your card to withdrawal cash.

Yes. We insist that every one has their travel insurance. If you like we can help to arrange this for you.

We will be going to rural parts of the country so don't expect a coffee farmer to speak English that well. But don't worry, we will have someone to help us out
