Day 2

A big start to the week as we dive into the world of understanding Colombia coffee. The varieties, the challenges, the system. Day 1 on the farm is always a busy one as we look at all the process methods that take place on the farm.

DAY 3

Time to get their hands dirty.

Time to learn all about the botany behind the plants, and how to ensure the best cherries are produced. Time to harvest and time to begin the processing. It was a long day, but no longer than a normal coffee worker would work.

After all the hard work of the planting, picking and processing, today was the day for the tasting. A day dedicated to sensory skills and the art of cupping.

day 5

While we left our processed coffees to begin their drying we left Misiones to visit a couple of farms in the area. Another HUGE day as we visited different places and finished off doing something a little special.

Day 4: Evening

For our last evening we headed into town for a game of Tejo. The locals turned out to watch us humilliate ourselves. Beers, explosions and laughs.

Time to head back to Bogotà, but the trip is not yet over. There is still more to see.
