Unlike other coffee trips, this is NOT just an Origin Trip—it's a journey of deep coffee education, understanding of coffee production and immersive experiences… with a healthy dose of fun mixed in!

Our focus is to help you understand the fascinating world of Kenyan coffee, develop an understanding of the difficulties and successes that Kenyan producers experience on a day-to-day basis. Over several days, you will immerse yourself in hands-on workshops, covering everything from Kenyan coffee varieties and qualities to: harvesting, post-harvesting, roasting, and cupping techniques. Kenyan coffee has been developing in quality at an incredible rate and we are excited to show you what goes into some of the most vibrant and exciting coffee in the the world…

Each day is full of activities, courses and education.

Martin Shabaya

With more Kenyan/African Barista Championships wins than we can count and a top 5 finish in the World Barista Championship 2021, there may be no better person in the world to help guide us through the Kenyan Coffee landscape.

Martin’s profound effect on the coffee community in Kenya is legendary, with an approval rating that is absolutely through the roof (we have witnessed it!) and a desire to help people understand specialty coffee, you will be entirely grateful to absorb everything he has to say.

Martin’s wealth of knowledge spanning coffee farming and production to barista mastery has helped him train over 500 baristas and he has dedicated much time to helping Kenyan baristas grow their abilities, to improve and expand the Kenyan Coffee Scene.

As well as being one of the smartest minds in coffee, Martin is also one of the warmest and loveliest human beings you will ever come across and we are deeply honoured to have him return for our second 3 Coffee Guys Trip to Kenya!

Frequently asked questions:

  • The trip officially starts on Saturday November 15th. You will want to fly in on this day., but feel free to come earlier and join the pre-event on Friday November 14th.

    We will still cover your airport transfer but the extra nights accomodation and expenses are on you.

  • We will take care of all most of your expenses, but you may want a little spending money for souvenirs, drinks or small extras.

    It will be easy enough to change money once you get there or you can always use the ATM and your card to withdrawal cash.

  • Yes. We insist that every one has their travel insurance. If you like we can help to arrange this for you.

  • Generally yes. We will be going to rural parts of the country so don't expect a coffee farmer to speak English that well. But don't worry, we will have someone to help us out
